The medical emergency service provides immediate help in the event of illness or injury arising outside of the UK.

IMPORTANT: Failure to contact the Medical Emergency Service for claims over £500 may result in a claim being invalid.  

When you call upon the services of the medical emergency service it is a condition of service that they shall solely be responsible for all decisions on the most suitable and reasonable solution to any medical problem.  

Please note in some cases it may be easier to pay minor expenses yourself. If you are in any doubt as to whether your medical costs will be covered, please contact the medical emergency assistance service on +44 (0)144 444 2390 for prior authorisation. 

Remember to keep all receipts and medical reports - as you will need them to submit your claim when you return home. 

Outpatient Treatment  

If you are in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal or Turkey and need out-patient medical treatment please provide a copy of your policy documentation to the medical practitioner and your treatment will be paid by ChargeCare International in line with the policy.  

You will be asked to fill in a simple form to confirm the treatment. The medical practitioner will send the form to ChargeCare International together with the balance of the medical bill after deduction of the excess you may have paid to the medical practitioner. Email: admin@chargecare.net
